Shape major mining projects as a Senior Blasting Consultant with WSP, applying your expertise to ensure safety and efficiency across Canada’s largest projects. This role emphasizes controlled blasting and vibration monitoring for lasting impact.
WSP is seeking a seasoned Senior Blasting Consultant. You will lead drilling and blasting projects while mentoring junior professionals and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Your role is essential in optimizing blast designs, conducting environmental assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulations throughout various project sites across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver blasting and vibration assessment projects from start to finish

• Develop blast designs for enhanced performance and safety

• Implement monitoring programs for environmental compliance

• Prepare technical documents, reports, and client presentations

• Mentor junior consultants in blasting expertise
Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Geological, Mining, or Civil Engineering

• Active PEO membership as a Professional Engineer

• Extensive blasting experience in mining and construction

• Knowledge of vibration monitoring and environmental impact

• Certification in blasting operations, like a Blaster's License
