Key Qualifications & Attributes

· Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.

· Minimum 3 years of structural engineering experience in Ontario.

· Strong technical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Positive, collaborative, and client-focused attitude.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

· Valid driver’s license with ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

· Manage structural engineering projects from proposal through completion.

· Prepare and manage project proposals, budgets, and schedules.

· Coordinate with clients and internal team members to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

· Conduct structural assessments, inspections, and site reviews complete with detailed technical reports.

· Review engineering drawings, design briefs, and reports.

· Develop structural designs for mainly residential and commercial projects (support on industrial projects may also be required).

· Mentor and support junior staff.

· Attend client meetings both on-site and virtually.

· Assist with business development and client relationship management.

Technical Requirements

The candidate must have knowledge and experience working with the following subjects and Canadian codes:

· Ontario Building Code

· Structural steel design (CSA S16)

· Reinforced concrete design (CSA A23.3)

· Wood design (CSA O86)

Candidates should also have working knowledge of:

· AutoCAD

· Revit

· Microsoft Office Suite

· Structural analysis software (SAP
2000, STAAD, RISA, etc.)
