Position: Highway Design Engineer at AECOM
Location: Greater Sudbury

Become a key player at AECOM as a Highway Design Engineer in North Bay. This role involves designing provincial and municipal road projects while providing engineering support and mentoring junior staff.

As part of the Transportation team at AECOM North Bay, you will bring your expertise in transportation design with a minimum of four years’ experience. Your responsibilities will include preparing design drawings, cost estimates, and overseeing project schedules, ensuring quality and safety. Collaboration with clients and technical specialists is essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering support for design drawings and specifications

• Oversee design preparation using CAD software

• Conduct client and public meetings

• Mentor and guide junior engineers

• Manage project schedules and compliance with safety standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering with 4+ years of experience

• P.Eng. designation in Ontario

• Knowledge of Ontario Provincial Standards and Municipal Tender Documents

• Proficient in AutoCAD and roadway design software

• Strong communication skills in English
