The Opportunity
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer
, you will contribute technical leadership to impactful, multidisciplinary projects that support safer, more efficient, and sustainable mining, metals and industrial infrastructure systems.
Location:
Vancouver, BC or Sudbury, ON.
- Lead mechanical engineering design packages from concept development through detailed engineering, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with project goals.
- Develop mechanical systems, specifications, calculations, and deliverables that support safe, reliable, and high‑performing operations for mining, metals, and heavy industrial clients.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical design with process, structural, electrical, controls, and construction requirements.
- Review designs, drawings, and engineering documents to ensure quality, constructability, and adherence to industry codes and best practices.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to intermediate and junior engineers, supporting team growth and capability development.
- Engage directly with clients, contractors, and internal partners to solve complex technical challenges and advance project delivery.
- University Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- At least 15 years of mechanical engineering experience in mining and heavy industrial projects.
- Experience in flue gas, dust collection and ventilation ducting is an asset.
- Hold (or be eligible for) a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada.
- Proven experience solving real‑world engineering challenges, from equipment specification to system design and integration.
- Comfortable working in the field or onsite as needed and adherence to all safety requirements.
- Working proficiency with mechanical design and modeling tools and a continuous desire to grow technical skills.

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $122,900 – $162,800
MB & ON: $112,100 – $154,400
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $111,000 – $147,400
