Casual Water Treatment Operator B

Location: Greater Sudbury

Pursue a rewarding role as a Casual Water Treatment Operator B at the Wanapitei Water Treatment Plant. This position involves operational tasks and shift work within a crucial community service.

The Water and Wastewater Services Division is looking for two motivated individuals. In this part-time position, you will support Operators by performing inspections and maintaining equipment at water facilities.

Your role will require diligence in recording data and adhering to safety compliance and reporting protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Operators during their absence and routine tasks

• Conduct inspections and carry out preventive maintenance

• Log operational data and collect water test samples

• Familiarize with safety procedures and provincial regulations

• Work on a flexible schedule, including standby

Requirements:

• Secondary School (Grade XII) education completed

• Water Treatment Level 1 certification within 18 months

• Experience in water treatment preferred

• Physically able to lift 20 kg and perform confined space duties

• Driver's license with acceptable driving history
