AVA Energy seeks a skilled engineer to join their team, focusing on enhancing their Power Systems expertise. You will leverage EMTP software and participate in dynamic and transient simulations, specifically using PSCAD. Candidates should excel in power system analysis while coaching team members on EMTP methodologies for renewable interconnection planning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop models and simulations using EMTP software
• Perform dynamic simulations and transient response evaluations
• Conduct complex analyses for transmission planning and interconnection
• Mentor team members in EMTP special studies
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders on technical aspects
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in power system simulation
• Proficiency in dynamic and transient modeling software
• Understanding ISO application processes and grid considerations
• Experience with utilities and developers
• Bachelor's degree in electrical power engineering required
