Lead impactful environmental projects as a Senior Mining Practitioner r expertise will focus on environmental permitting and regulatory compliance across the mining sector.
In this pivotal role, you will join Stantec's environmental permitting practice, dedicated to delivering solutions for a diverse range of mining clients. With a strong understanding of the mining sector, particularly in Ontario and Quebec, you will manage projects from start-up to completion. Your contributions will include driving environmental assessments and consulting with multi-disciplinary teams to support sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement environmental assessment and permitting processes for mining projects
• Liaise with clients and develop business opportunities
• Write and coordinate proposals and reports effectively
• Conduct desktop studies for regulatory compliance
• Manage project scheduling, budgets, and quality assurance
Requirements:
• Minimum 15 years of experience in mining-related roles
• Strong knowledge of mining regulations and policies
• Proven skills in environmental assessments and compliance
• Experience with government and Indigenous community engagement
• Professional designation in a related field
