Position: Mechanical Designer for Mining Projects
Location: Greater Sudbury

Join EXP's dynamic team as a Mechanical Designer focused on mining solutions in a hybrid setting. This senior position emphasizes project leadership and technical design.

In your role as a Mechanical Designer, you will guide a team of designers in creating mechanical layouts tailored for mining applications. Your ability to use tools like Open Plant and Bentley Suite will enhance project efficiency while supporting client goals. You will also check 3D models and drawings, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a working lead for multidisciplinary design teams

• Create mechanical layouts and plant designs using AutoCAD

• Conduct design analysis and recommend solutions

• Provide mentorship and oversee project deliverables

• Coordinate design efforts with client representatives

Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years in design, preferably EPCM

• Familiarity with mining processes and codes

• Experience with Microstation and Open Plant

• Technical college education in a relevant field

• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
