Lead Mechanical HVAC Engineer Ontario

Location: greater sudbury

WSP seeks an experienced Lead Mechanical HVAC Engineer to spearhead design projects in Ontario’s mining and industrial sectors. You will ensure technical excellence in mechanical systems while promoting sustainability.
In this Senior Engineer role, you’ll lead design packages from conception to detailed engineering. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure projects meet design, safety, and reliability criteria. Your leadership will guide intermediate engineers and enrich the team's capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead HVAC design projects from concept to completion

• Develop specifications and deliverables for reliable operations

• Collaborate with teams to integrate mechanical designs

• Review engineering documents for quality and compliance

• Mentor junior engineers and support team development
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field

• Minimum 15 years in mining and industrial projects

• Experience with flue gas and ducting systems

• Eligible for P.Eng. designation in Canada

• Proficiency with mechanical design tools
