Position: Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer, Resources (Greater )

The Opportunity

As a Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer, you will lead design projects for mining, metals and industrial infrastructure systems, contributing technical leadership and delivering solutions that support safer, more efficient and sustainable operations.

This position will be located in one of our Ontario offices – ideally in Northern Ontario.

Your Impact
  • Lead mechanical HVAC engineering design packages from concept through detailed engineering, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with project goals.
  • Develop mechanical HVAC systems, specifications, calculations and deliverables for safe, reliable and high‑performing operations.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical design with process, structural, electrical, controls and construction requirements.
  • Review designs, drawings and engineering documents to ensure quality, constructability and adherence to industry codes and best practices.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to intermediate and junior engineers, supporting team growth and capability development.
  • Engage directly with clients, contractors and internal partners to solve complex technical challenges and advance project delivery.
The Skills That Set You Apart
  • University bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 15years of mechanical engineering experience in mining and heavy industrial projects.
  • Experience in flue gas, dust collection and ventilation ducting is an asset.
  • Holder (or eligible) of a Qualified Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada.
  • Proven experience solving real‑world engineering challenges from equipment specification to system design and integration.
  • Comfortable working in the field or onsite as needed and adherence to all safety requirements.
  • Working proficiency with mechanical design and modeling tools, with a commitment to continuous technical growth.
Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $122,900 – $162,800
MB & ON: $112,100 – $154,400
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $111,000 – $147,400

The final salary awarded for this role may vary based on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills and geographic location.
