Field Geologist

Position: Field Geologist at Axis Geoscience
Location: greater sudbury

Join Axis Geoscience Ltd. as a Field Geologist, delivering geological mapping, exploration support, and data-driven field programs throughout Canada. This role involves hands-on work in remote settings, enhancing your expertise in geological exploration.
In this four-month contract position, you will contribute to hard-rock exploration projects by supervising drill campaigns and gathering geological data. Your strong field skills will be crucial as you navigate rugged terrains, ensuring safety and compliance with environmental regulations while coordinating with various teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support drill campaigns effectively with oversight and hands-on work

• Collect and validate geological and geotechnical data consistently

• Maintain accurate records for field and core samples

• Contribute to exploration maps, sections, and technical reports

• Manage QA/QC procedures diligently for sample handling
Requirements:

• Experience in geological mapping and prospecting in rugged terrain

• Core logging or drill supervision experience required

• Familiarity with hard-rock exploration systems, including geochemistry

• Proficient in GIS software like QGIS or ArcGIS

• Strong commitment to health and safety compliance
