Location: Greater Sudbury
Join Stantec as a Senior Underground Mining Engineer in Sudbury, Ontario, and lead innovative mining projects.
Your role will be pivotal in sustainable mining and engineering mentorship.
As a Senior Engineer, you will work collaboratively with clients and teams to design responsible mining solutions. Your responsibilities include directing engineering efforts, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring quality control throughout project execution. You will also engage in business development and provide technical insights while using advanced mining software for project optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design mining methods and infrastructure for projects
• Lead teams and manage mine engineering projects
• Oversee quality assurance and control on various projects
• Interface with clients and external stakeholders throughout projects
• Prepare technical reports to support business development
Requirements:
• 25+ years of experience in underground hard rock mining
• Mining Engineering Degree from recognized institution
• Advanced understanding of 3D Mine Design Software
• Familiarity with ventilation systems and rock mechanics
• Strong knowledge of mining safety regulations
