Drive impactful blasting practices as a Vibration Monitoring Consultant s role focuses on leading projects to enhance safety while ensuring compliance within Canada’s mining and infrastructure sectors.
As a part of WSP's innovative team, you will apply technical leadership in drilling, blasting, and vibration assessments.
This role offers the chance to optimize blasting strategies, evaluate environmental impacts, and mentor junior staff. You will ensure projects meet scope, budget, and regulatory requirements while engaging directly with clients across diverse project sites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage blasting and vibration monitoring projects
• Optimize blast designs to improve fragmentation and efficiency
• Conduct environmental compliance monitoring for blasting
• Create high-quality technical documentation and presentations
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Geological, Mining, or Civil Engineering
• Current Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) registration
• Proven experience with blasting in diverse environments
• Strong analytical skills for technical report preparation
• Ability to handle multiple projects and travel as needed
