Join WSP's Energy team as an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, leading innovative projects in renewable energy and power generation. Tackle complex challenges while collaborating across disciplines to achieve engineering goals.
In this role, you will leverage your expertise in mechanical engineering, working with diverse clients including Independent Power Producers and Municipal Electric Utilities. Your responsibilities will cover mechanical piping design, equipment specifications, and technical evaluations, while also mentoring junior engineers. Engage with various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery across cutting-edge power plant technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design mechanical piping and equipment for power generation projects
• Prepare specifications, data sheets, and technical bids
• Review vendor drawings and ensure effective engineering communication
• Develop scopes of work for mechanical systems
• Mentor and guide less experienced engineers
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• 6 to 10 years of design experience in EPCM environment
• Licensed professional engineer (P.Eng, Ing, PE)
• Proficiency in Microstation/AutoCAD
• Familiarity with Caesar II or Auto Pipe
