Location: greater sudbury
Join WSP's Resources team in Sudbury as a Structural Engineer, focusing on mining and industrial infrastructure. Lead innovative designs and collaborate with multidisciplinary experts to ensure project success.
In this essential role, you will contribute to major builds and rehabilitation programs across Canada’s mining sector. With 3-5 years of experience in structural design, you will create detailed engineering packages that empower clients to effectively execute projects. Your expertise will shine through in structural assessments and the coordination of complex design requirements with various teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design structural systems for mining and industrial applications
• Deliver detailed engineering packages from concept to execution
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate design
• Conduct site investigations and structural assessments
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and specifications
Requirements:
• Eligible for Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario
• 3-5 years of experience in concrete and steel design
• Familiarity with Canadian Codes and Standards
• Proficient with S-Frame, STAAD.Pro, or SAP
2000
• Experience in hands-on field assessments
