Become a key player at Stantec as a Mining Environmental Specialist, focused on delivering top-notch environmental permitting and compliance solutions in the mining sector.
This role invites you to engage with a skilled team, implementing environmental assessments and compliance strategies for various mining projects. With a minimum of 15 years' experience, you will lead multidisciplinary efforts, navigate complex permitting processes, and interact with clients and regulators. Your insight into the North American mining sector will drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead environmental assessments and permitting for mining operations
• Develop proposals and coordinate regulatory documents
• Engage with various stakeholders to ensure project alignment
• Support consultation programs across diverse communities
• Oversee project management, including subcontractor oversight
Requirements:
• 15+ years in mining, with a focus on Ontario and Quebec
• Strong understanding of relevant mining regulations
• Experience in liaising with government and communities
• Proven leadership and business development skills
• Educational background in Environmental Sciences or Engineering
