Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team at the Sudbury office. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with our Energy and Resources team, taking on responsibility for a diverse range of multidisciplinary projects. As a key player on our team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside industry experts, contributing to projects across Canada and gaining valuable experience in various sectors.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Participate and produce various deliverables in line with the project needs;
- Work in multidisciplinary project teams, produce and sign off deliverables;
- Work with the Department Lead to pursue new business opportunities with new and/or existing clients;
- Assist stakeholders in proposal writing and fee estimates;
- Coach, guide and mentor junior engineers on the team;
- Collaboratively support business/operations through sound management of value, risk, content, communication, knowledge & resources;
- Provide expertise in capital and operating projects;
- Ensure compliance to Health & Safety, as well as all other regulations & policies;
- Development & implementation of budgets;
- Partake in site surveys.
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
- 8+ years of engineering design experience within mining, heavy industrial or related industries;
- Proven organizational, analytical & problem‑solving skills;
- Able to multi‑task, meet deadlines, self‑motivate, and adapt to change;
- Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels;
- Experience with metal/mineral processing plants, piping, cooling systems, compression, mining operations, conveyance systems and/or pressure vessels are considered assets.
