As a key member of the AVA Energy team, your role will revolve around modeling and post-processing simulations related to power systems. You will leverage your extensive experience with EMTP software like PSCAD to conduct complex analyses and address transient phenomena that affect grid reliability. Collaboration with utility and regulatory bodies is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Undertake simulation and modeling of power systems using EMTP
• Analyze transient and dynamic behaviors of renewable resources
• Support transmission planning and grid interconnections
• Mentor team members in EMTP study techniques
• Evaluate oscillatory issues in power systems
Requirements:
• 5+ years in power systems simulation and modeling
• Expertise in leading network reduction software
• Familiarity with ISO resource application standards
• Proven communication skills with stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical power engineering or advanced education
