We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer with experience in the industrial or mining sectors to join our dynamic team in Sudbury. The role involves collaborating closely with owners and contractors to deliver innovative solutions across high‑impact projects.
This position can be based out of the Thunder Bay or Sudbury office.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the design team on 3‑D model and drawing development.
- Contribute insights to project estimates and proposals.
- Review drawings and other engineering documents.
- Create and revise Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Maintain an organized CAD library.
- Develop practical solutions for challenges in industrial or mining settings.
- Complete field work, primarily in industrial or mining settings.
- Mechanical engineering technician diploma or equivalent.
- 7+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably in an engineering consulting environment.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Solid Works and 3‑D modelling; experience with Micro Station is an asset.
- Strong command of MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational, communication and leadership abilities demonstrated through employment experience.
- Strong analytical, computer and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Valid Class G driver’s license.

Compensation for this role is based on the candidate’s experience, skills and qualifications, while maintaining internal equity. The level and associated salary may vary depending on the candidate’s profile.
