Location: Greater Sudbury
Become a key player in occupational hygiene with WSP as a Hazardous Materials & Occupational Hygiene Technician. Work in a hybrid environment while supporting health and safety compliance across Ontario.
WSP is seeking a dedicated technician to join its expert team of occupational and industrial hygienists. In this role, you will perform building assessments for hazardous materials and oversee remediation projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Your responsibilities include conducting exposure assessments across various workplaces and contributing to indoor air and water quality investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct field assessments for hazardous materials
• Monitor and document hazardous materials remediation
• Analyze airborne fibre samples and document results
• Support clients with regulatory compliance and best practices
• Prepare detailed reports based on field notes
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in occupational hygiene or environmental science
• Experience in environmental or construction fields
• Knowledge of Ontario safety regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management
• Willingness to travel across Ontario, including overnight stays
