Location: Greater Sudbury
Join WSP’s team as a Hazardous Materials & Occupational Hygiene Technician, where you impact workplace safety across Ontario. This hybrid position allows for diverse experiences in various project sites.
In this crucial role, your focus will be on evaluating hazardous materials through inspections and assessments. Conduct air quality assessments, manage onsite remediation projects, and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to significant safety improvements for clients through detailed reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform building assessments and collect samples
• Oversee remediation project compliance and air sampling
• Conduct exposure assessments for workplace hazards
• Document and report findings from assessments
• Build strong relationships with clients and project teams
Requirements:
• College diploma or university degree in relevant fields
• Experience in occupational hygiene or relevant education
• Familiarity with hazardous materials and legislation
• Comfort with data analysis using digital tools
• Ability to travel across Ontario as needed
