Sudbury Mining Mechanical Draftsperson

Location: Greater Sudbury

Become a key player in a Sudbury-based mining project as a Mechanical Draftsperson. Provide essential support in the design and development of industrial mechanical systems through precise technical drawings.

This contract role is integral for a large-scale mining joint venture committed to innovation and resource development. Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and operations personnel to ensure your technical documentation aligns with project requirements. Your contributions will help shape a reliable mining operation focused on sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare mechanical designs and detailed layouts

• Assist with measuring and verification at field sites

• Create technical documentation and BOMs

• Review designs for adherence to project specifications

• Participate in equipment installations and commissioning

Requirements:

• Mechanical Engineering Diploma or equivalent experience

• 5+ years drafting experience in industrial environments

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and construction

• Familiarity with heavy industrial processes advantageous
