Position: Senior Electrical Engineer for Mining Projects
Location: Greater Sudbury

Shape the future at WSP as a Senior Electrical Engineer focusing on mining and heavy industry. Drive electrical design for projects in Northern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area.

As a vital member of WSP's Resources subsector, you will leverage over 12 years of experience in electrical engineering design. This role involves designing electrical power systems for both new construction and brownfield initiatives. Your expertise will impact safety, reliability, and efficiency for industrial operations across diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design power distribution and control systems for safety

• Conduct power system studies using ETAP or Easy Power

• Prepare specifications for switch gear and associated equipment

• Oversee engineering calculations and design accuracy

• Mentor junior engineering staff and foster talent

Requirements:

• Minimum 12 years of electrical engineering experience

• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario

• Familiarity with CSA and ANSI standards

• Proficient in power system modeling tools

• Valid driver's license for site visits
