This full-time, permanent position is key in maintaining safety and stability in mining environments. Reporting to the Chief Mine Engineer, you will work closely with Mine Directors, Geological teams, and Project Managers to ensure program excellence. Your expertise in engineering and communication will be vital to mentoring geotechnical teams and leading projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement ground control systems for mining sites
• Monitor and assess ground stability and risks
• Collaborate with various mine departments for technical direction
• Provide mentorship to site geotechnical teams
• Participate in regular on-call rotations within the Ground Control Group
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in mining, civil, or geotechnical engineering
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial experience
• Strong communication and mentoring skills
• Proven operational credibility in geotechnical contexts
• Ability to lead projects with impact
