As a vital member of the Shared Technical Services team, you will provide critical geotechnical engineering support for Sudbury operations. Your expertise in rock mechanics and excavation stability will collaborate with Engineering, Geology, and Operations to enhance mining safety and efficiency. Responsibilities include managing geotechnical risks and fields inspections to uphold regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide engineering support on rock mechanics and excavation stability
• Ensure geotechnical guidelines for mine planning are followed
• Develop internal best practices for site teams
• Oversee geotechnical investigations and data analysis
• Conduct audits for compliance and technical due diligence
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mining or Geological Engineering
• 5+ years of underground geotechnical experience
• Knowledge of mining regulations and ground control principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication abilities with technical teams
