Stantec is looking for a skilled Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join their Mining Geotechnical and Tailings team. You will analyze and design geotechnical structures, leading projects and guiding junior engineers along the way.
This role offers a unique blend of office, field, and lab work, allowing you to engage in impactful geotechnical practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute geotechnical investigations
• Develop models based on lab and field data
• Complete geotechnical analyses, including slope stability
• Guide the design of tailings storage and related structures
• Provide mentorship to junior staff and coordinate project deliverables
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
• 5-12 years of relevant experience in geotechnics
• Strong skills in soil mechanics and instrumentation
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario
• Proficiency with Geo Studio applications
