Step into the critical role of a Healthcare Simulation Technician at Health Sciences North. This position combines logistical support and technical skills to enhance medical training experiences.
Under the guidance of the Simulation Laboratory Manager, you will oversee simulation logistics, operate healthcare equipment, and assist clinical activities. Your work will include troubleshooting AV/IT systems during live events and applying realistic moulage for simulations. Prior experience in healthcare or medical simulation is essential to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide setup and teardown for simulation activities
• Manage healthcare simulation equipment operation
• Troubleshoot control room technology during simulations
• Support learning by acting in scenarios as necessary
• Conduct routine equipment maintenance and repairs
Requirements:
• Three-year Diploma in Health Sciences or similar
• Minimum of two years in healthcare or clinical education
• Certification in health and safety awareness
• Proficiency in medical terminology and IT systems
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
