Lead Hand Arena Maintenance

Become a vital part of the Sudbury Arena team as the Lead Hand Arena Maintenance person. Oversee diverse maintenance tasks, manage event conversions, and ensure top facility standards.

In this permanent position for the Parks and Recreation Services division, you will be the driving force behind the operational excellence of multi-use events at the Sudbury Arena. Your two years of experience will enable you to conduct essential duties such as ice maintenance, facility conversions, and directing maintenance personnel effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, repair, and minor construction tasks

• Conduct regular ice maintenance by edging and shaving

• Supervise event conversions between ice and non-ice uses

• Assemble stage and set-up for major shows

• Maintain operational logs as per regulations

Requirements:

• Completed secondary school education

• Refrigeration Operator “B” Certificate preferred

• Minimum two years' experience in arena maintenance

• Previous lead hand experience required

• Valid driver’s license with good record
