Senior Maintenance Officer

Supervise, coordinate, and manage daily maintenance activities across all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC equipment

Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance schedules to identify potential issues and ensure all systems operate efficiently

Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training on maintenance procedures and safety protocols

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations and guest services

Manage maintenance equipment, tools, and spare parts inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage

Maintain detailed maintenance logs, records, and documentation of all work completed, including costs and materials used

Collaborate with other departments, particularly Housekeeping and Front Office, to address maintenance concerns and ensure guest comfort

Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and company policies

Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements through preventative maintenance and energy efficiency initiatives

Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance work and equipment servicing.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 5–7 years of maintenance or engineering experience, including 2–3 years in a supervisory role.

Good knowledge of hotel building systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC.

Relevant technical qualifications or maintenance certifications.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Able to prioritize tasks and respond to maintenance emergencies.

Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and building compliance.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Basic computer skills and familiarity with maintenance management systems.

Willing to work overtime or be on call when required.
