Position: Line Boring Welder/Machinist (Various Schedules Available)
Location: Greater SudburyToromont Cat is looking for a Line Boring Welder/Machinist to join our team! A Welder/Machinist plays an important role in our Service department providing technical expertise to ensure superior customer service in the repair, fabrication of parts and structures in our shop.
** Must live within drivable proximity to Sudbury as there is no accommodation provided**
Schedules Available: Shift premiums may apply
7 days on x 7 days off (12 hours)4 x10 hours

$48.17
The listed wage is just one component of our total rewards package, and eligibility to additional premiums may be available.

Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiativesOperate electric, acetylene and semi-automatic welding and automatic burning equipment effectively and efficientlyFabricate structures from drawings or sketchesMaintain quality workmanship to repair Caterpillar equipment within the established time standards out in the fieldRestore damaged steel and cast iron components by welding, dissembling and assembling relative componentsMaintain an inventory of materials used for fabricationMaintain and build strong customer relationsMust-haves for this role:
Experience in the technique of line-boring (huge asset)Post-secondary education in the field of welding or conventional machining3 years professional experience working with GMAW, SMAW and FCAW techniquesCWB or Canadian Red seal certified (an asset)About Toromont Cat
