We are looking for a Yard Supervisor to join our team in Sudbury, Ontario! You will play a crucial role in maintaining productivity while fostering a safe and organized work environment.
What you're responsible for:
Organizing and coordinating daily yard activities to ensure efficiencyAssigning tasks to yard employees and monitoring workflow to meet daily operational goalsProviding hands on support and guidance to team membersEnsuring materials are sorted, processed and handled properlyMotivating and encouraging employees to maintain productivityCommunicating expectations and ensuring tasks are carried out accordinglyEnsuring compliance with company policies and identifying opportunities for improvementQualifications
To join our team:
You have a minimum 2 years experience as a SupervisorYou have previous experience in a recycling, industrial, construction or manufacturing environmentYou have previous experience with heavy equipment (forklift, loader, etc) is an assetYou have strong leadership and problem solving skills, and the ability to make quick decisionsYou have hands-on experience with yard equipment, material handing, or heavy machineryYou are comfortable working in a physically demanding and fact-paced environmentYou are comfortable working outdoors with exposure to various weather conditionsAdditional Information
