Water Treatment Operator Wanapitei Plant

Join the City of Greater Sudbury as a Water Treatment Operator at the Wanapitei Water Treatment Plant. This casual part-time role pays between $30.92 and $35.45 per hour while focusing on operational and maintenance duties.

As a Water Treatment Operator, you will assist in various tasks under the supervision of a Water Supervisor. Your responsibilities will include conducting inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure facilities are running effectively. Additionally, you will record operational data and assist in collecting samples or conducting routine tests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Operators and tradespersons in daily operations

• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment

• Record data and perform routine laboratory tests

• Work on a 24/7 schedule as needed

• Adhere to CGS Safety Manual and Provincial Legislation

Requirements:

• Secondary School education required

• Two-year post-secondary diploma considered an asset

• Certification as Operator-in-Training required

• Experience in water treatment preferred

• Valid driver’s license for CGS business use required
