Step into a vital nursing role at Health Sciences North as a Registered Nurse, delivering expert dialysis treatments to patients suffering from end-stage renal disease. This job centers around critical patient care in both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.

Candidates should be graduates from an approved nursing school and possess current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. A minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience and certifications, including hemodialysis and Basic Cardiac Life Support, are necessary. Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient education will enrich the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis protocols

• Assess and tackle complications during treatments

• Educate patients and families regarding care methods

• Record patient data accurately using software tools

• Coordinate within a nursing team, leveraging support where needed

Requirements:

• Must hold current certifications in BCLS and AED

• Minimum one year of dialysis experience in the past five years

• Required hemodialysis certification

• Completion of mandated health and safety training

• Recent dialysis certification within a year
