Registered Practical Nurse in Rehabilitation

Location: Greater Sudbury

Join NORTH BAY REGIONAL HEALTH CENTRE as a Registered Practical Nurse in specialized adult rehabilitation services. Focus on patients with dementia and complex mental health issues to enhance their quality of life.

This role supports both Oak Lodge and Nickel Lodge, providing care to individuals facing age-related dementia and psychiatric challenges. You will work in a recovery-oriented environment, utilizing your nursing expertise to develop personalized care plans while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement individualized care plans to manage responsive behaviours

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and communicate findings effectively

• Apply trauma-informed care principles in daily interactions

• Participate in recovery-oriented nursing programming

• Document clinical observations and assessment results

Requirements:

• Current Ontario registration as a Registered Practical Nurse

• Completion of Basic Life Support and Gentle Persuasive Approach training

• Experience in mental health settings

• Knowledge of psychiatric pathology and relevant regulations

• Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
