This role supports both Oak Lodge and Nickel Lodge, providing care to individuals facing age-related dementia and psychiatric challenges. You will work in a recovery-oriented environment, utilizing your nursing expertise to develop personalized care plans while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement individualized care plans to manage responsive behaviours
• Conduct psychiatric assessments and communicate findings effectively
• Apply trauma-informed care principles in daily interactions
• Participate in recovery-oriented nursing programming
• Document clinical observations and assessment results
Requirements:
• Current Ontario registration as a Registered Practical Nurse
• Completion of Basic Life Support and Gentle Persuasive Approach training
• Experience in mental health settings
• Knowledge of psychiatric pathology and relevant regulations
• Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
