North Bay Regional Health Centre is looking for a Registered Practical Nurse for its Oak Lodge and Nickel Lodge departments. This position involves utilizing knowledge of psychiatric pathology and the recovery model to enhance patient quality of life. You will be pivotal in supporting individuals with age-related dementia and complex psychiatric conditions while working in a patient-driven, recovery-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess clients using effective psychiatric interviewing techniques

• Create and monitor individualized care plans

• Support patient recovery through health teaching

• Participate actively in nursing programming

• Maintain thorough documentation of care provided

Requirements:

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Current Gentle Persuasive Approach certification

• Proven experience in mental health

• Familiarity with Mental Health Act and regulations

• Reliability in attendance and professionalism
