Independent Nurse Practitioner

This role focuses on serving residents' acute and chronic needs while following the Ontario College of Nurses standards. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will conduct thorough assessments, implement individualized care plans, and prescribe therapies. Collaboration with various healthcare professionals supports your commitment to excellence in care and ensures residents receive comprehensive health services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on care plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and make decisions
• Educate residents and families on health and care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research
Requirements:
• Current registration as Nurse Practitioner (RN Extended Class)
• Master’s Degree and post-Master’s NP certification
• Experience in primary care, gerontology, or complex care
• Professional liability insurance required
• Membership in NPAO preferred
