Position: Director of Care at Extendicare York
Location: Greater Sudbury

Lead resident-centered care initiatives as the Director of Care at Extendicare in York. Shape an engaged team and enhance the lives of residents by ensuring quality care delivery.

As a full-time Director of Care, you will guide a high-performing team committed to improving resident experiences in long-term care. This role demands expertise in nursing leadership, quality care management, and resident advocacy as you navigate regulatory compliance and best practices. You will be instrumental in creating a positive culture for both residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and guide the resident care team daily

• Educate care staff for effective role performance

• Manage staffing levels and department budget

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations

• Identify and mitigate resident-related risks

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Nursing;
Master's preferred

• Unrestricted RN registration with provincial licensing

• Minimum 5 years nursing experience, 2 in leadership

• Knowledge of long-term care regulations

• Proven track record in quality improvement initiatives
