Become a key part of the Extendicare team as a part-time Registered Nurse. Help provide outstanding resident care and support in our long-term care home.
This crucial role involves working under the Director of Care to uphold high nursing standards and quality practices. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing residents, implementing care strategies, and supervising staff to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care based on best practices
• Monitor resident conditions and document vital signs
• Oversee and educate nursing staff and new hires
• Prepare the facility for RAI MDS reviews
• Take charge during the Director of Care's absence
Requirements:
• Valid nursing registration in Ontario
• Experience in a long-term care environment
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Commitment to resident health and safety
• Flexibility to work part-time hours
