Elevate your nursing career with the North Bay Regional Health Centre as a Registered Practical Nurse at Nickel Lodge. Provide specialized care in psychiatric rehabilitation for patients with complex mental health and substance use needs.
This role in a 16-bed program requires current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and knowledge of psychiatric pathology. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will deliver patient-driven care, apply the Recovery Model, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to enhance the quality of life for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver compassionate care to patients with mental health issues
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team effectively
• Apply the Recovery Model in care planning
• Document assessments and clinical observations accurately
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations
Requirements:
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Basic Life Support certification within last 12 months
• Gentle Persuasive Approach certification
• Experience in a mental health setting
• Bilingualism in English and French preferred
