Location: Greater Sudbury
Advance your research career with Cambrian College's Applied Research and Innovation team. This part-time researcher role offers 24 hours per week focused on impactful R&D projects in critical minerals and life sciences.
Reporting to the Director of Applied Research, you will work under the guidance of the Analytical Research Lead while developing and implementing research methodologies alongside industry partners. Your expertise will support sample analysis and help train student researchers, contributing to the successful delivery of workshops and events for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze samples and materials at CASS facility
• Innovate research methodologies with industry input
• Research technologies for extracting analytes
• Mentor students on research projects
• Assist in acquiring essential equipment for research
Requirements:
• Minimum Diploma in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering
• 5+ years of laboratory experience
• Proficient with specialized lab instruments
• Excellent organizational and abstract thinking abilities
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
