This role is ideal for a Master's degree holder in Mining Engineering or related fields. You will engage in advanced numerical simulation, data management, and contribute significantly to AI-driven projects addressing environmental sustainability in mining. The intern will execute simulations, validate models, and collaborate on the interpretation of key findings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop numerical models for tire-road interaction
• Conduct systematic parametric simulations
• Generate structured datasets for AI applications
• Perform sensitivity and uncertainty analyses
• Prepare technical summaries and research presentations
Requirements:
• Master's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
• One year of relevant research experience
• Strong knowledge of numerical modelling tools
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence applications
• Excellent analytical and technical writing skills
Advance research in sustainable mining using AI and numerical modelling at Laurentian University.
