Counter Salesperson

Salary Range: $42,500.00 To $44,500.00 Annually

The role of a Counter Salesperson is to promote and develop sales opportunities with clients in accordance with company policies and procedures.

But not limited to…

• Promote sales to existing clients
• Identify and solicit potential clients
• Prepare quotes and follow-up in a timely manner to track results
• Assess client’s needs and resources and recommend the appropriate products and services
• Estimate costs of installing products or service
• Consult with clients after sale to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support
• Establish work schedules and co-ordinate activities with other departments
• May perform other duties pertaining to sales projects

• Hardware product knowledge and experience is an asset
• Cost and budget management
• Strong negotiation skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Sound understanding of the hardware, door and building construction industry sector

• Proficient computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Navision Sales Order Entry System/AVAware Quoting System

• Mainly In an office environment.
• Sitting for long periods while working with standard office equipment.
• Spend extended hours in front of a computer screen
• Lifting of office supplies and materials of up to 80 lbs.
• Moderate lighting and variable temperature
• Required to enter areas of moderate to extreme noise i.e. the weld shop, warehouse and shipping/receiving
• Standing/sitting/bending at varied times throughout the day
• Required to go to external job sites

This is a replacement position
