Join Laurentian University as a Security Guard and enhance campus safety part-time. This role combines routine patrols, emergency response, and public assistance during various shifts.
As a member of the Campus Safety team, your role focuses on providing security and fire protection for all individuals on site. Applicants must have a strong background in security or police work, a valid Ontario Security Guard license, and exceptional interpersonal skills. Daily duties will involve investigating incidents, conducting regular patrols, and aiding in traffic management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct traffic and enforce regulations on campus
• Carry out fire and security patrols of buildings
• Provide crowd control for events and activities
• Offer information and assistance to the public
• Conduct monthly inspections of security equipment
Requirements:
• College diploma in a relevant field preferred
• 2-3 years of security/police experience
• Current Ontario Security Guard license required
• Valid Ontario Driver’s license in good standing
• CPR and First Aid certification required
