Title: Security Guard

Employment Type: Full-Time and Part-Time available

Pay Rate: $20.00 / hour

Site: Various in Thunder Bay

Site Overview

This role is located at a prominent post-secondary educational campus in Thunder Bay. The environment is vibrant, active, and community-focused. You will work alongside a supportive team dedicated to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and inclusive campus for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

• Patrolling campus buildings, residence halls, parking areas, and grounds on foot.
• Assisting students, staff, and visitors with campus inquiries, directions, and safety escorts.
• Responding promptly to alarm calls, calls for service, and medical first-aid situations.
• De-escalating conflict situations using clear, professional communication.
• Writing clear, concise daily logs and detailed incident reports.
• Enforcing site rules, access control policies, and emergency response procedures.

• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification.
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
• Proven customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
• Physical capability to stand and walk for long periods throughout shifts.

• Previous experience in campus security, customer service, or public-facing roles.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) or de-escalation training.
• Valid Ontario Driver's Licence (Class G).
