Join Kingsway Home as a Child and Youth Worker and make a difference in young lives. This crucial role provides behavioral support and life skills coaching to promote resilience and emotional health.
You will be responsible for fostering a nurturing environment where children and youth feel safe. With a two-year social service diploma and experience working with Anishinabe communities, you will effectively implement programs and guidelines that align with the Child, Youth, and Family Services Act, enhancing the well-being of those in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate behavioral programming for children and youth
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for clients
• Provide life skills coaching and emotional support
• Encourage resilience and effective emotional regulation
• Conduct crisis intervention and conflict resolution
Requirements:
• Diploma in Child and Youth Worker or social services
• Relevant experience with Anishinabek communities preferred
• First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to acquire
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
• Insurance for client transport purposes
