Enhance family relationships as a Bilingual Family Support Worker at our agency. This role focuses on intensive support for children and families, promoting skills and stability.
As a Family Support Worker, you will be responsible for coordinating family visits, assessing parenting skills, and providing advocacy for children and families. Your expertise will help prevent admissions to care and facilitate children’s reintegration. Utilizing your strong communication skills in both English and French, you will develop comprehensive plans with families and offer life skills training as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and facilitate family visits and support
• Assess strengths and challenges in parenting skills
• Develop goals tailored to family needs
• Model effective parenting techniques and life skills
• Provide crisis management assistance and guidance
Requirements:
• Two years of relevant experience with families
• Strong communication skills in English and French
• Knowledge of child development and family dynamics
• Clinical counseling skills with children and families
• Valid Class “G” Driver's License for transportation
