At Manitoulin Transport, we are looking for an experienced Dock Lead Hand to supervise our weekend shifts, ensuring accurate freight handling. You will utilize handheld devices for tracking and documenting exceptions while maintaining high safety standards in the warehouse. Experience under tight deadlines and effective communication is essential in this challenging role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage loading and unloading freight across various trailers
• Document shortages and damages using electronic devices
• Mark and organize materials for easy identification
• Oversee trailer space arrangements for maximum efficiency
• Ensure cleanliness and safety in the work environment
Requirements:
• Proven lead hand or supervisory experience needed
• Forklift operation experience is essential
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities required
• Training for trailer shunting available
