Sandvik Mining is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor.
Work location:
Central Canada. Recruiting from:
Red Lake (preferred). Flexible within Ontario (e.g., Sudbury or other Sandvik locations).
- Drive continuous improvement across warehouse operations, including the development of improved processes.
- Assign duties to warehouse technicians to meet operational requirements and customer delivery timelines.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external customers to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee inventory accuracy and coordinate periodic stock audits.
- Monitor performance, provide feedback, and support employee development.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety; collaborate with parts group management and EHS to ensure a safe working environment.
- Serve as the first point of contact for warehouse system and procedure issues.
- Support the implementation, setup, and onboarding of new technicians.
- Conduct performance reviews with guidance and support as needed.
- Manage performance and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Ensure proper staffing coverage and scheduling, including vacation planning.
- Oversee and support remote warehouse operations at customer sites across Central Canada.
- Travel regularly to remote locations to ensure compliance, performance, and customer alignment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all safety policies and applicable regulations.
- Identify and report unsafe work habits, incidents, and near misses. Perform risk assessments ("Take Five") prior to tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Attend EHS training sessions.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Experience managing teams.
- Experience with SAP implementation (strong asset) and change management.
- Strong relationship‑building skills across diverse teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong active listening skills.
- Flexible, self‑motivated, and proactive.
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Ability to make decisions in uncertain or evolving situations.
- Computer literacy (Excel – intermediate; SAP, Power BI).
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Flexible work location within Ontario; proximity to a Sandvik site is considered an asset.
