Part Time Professors - School of Interdisciplinary Studies

Position Summary

Cambrian College’s School of Interdisciplinary Studies requires part‑time professors to teach miscellaneous courses beginning in September 2025. Individuals will teach in one or more of the following courses.

• Wednesday 5:30-8:20 pm

    1008 – Gender and Pop Culture
  • ANT
    1002 – Diversity and Inclusion
• Thursday 8:30-11:20 am
  • GND
    1003 – Activism and Queer Communities
• Friday 8:30-11:20 am
  • GND
    1004 – Gender Diversity in the Arts

• GND
  1002 – Sexuality and Politics
• GND
  1005 – Gender Studies
• GND
  1008 – Gender and the Body

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. (Education completed outside Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application).
• Two or more years of teaching/tutoring experience.
• Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others, and function effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to provide leadership and mentorship and be an effective role model in the classroom.
• Ability to utilize creative teaching approaches and current and emerging teaching and learning strategies to enhance student success.
• Demonstrated ability to use a variety of educational technologies, including in‑class media presentation systems, learning management systems, and other relevant classroom technologies.
• Ability to work with students from diverse educational, religious, and cultural backgrounds.
• Solid commitment to students and education.
• Excellent written communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer literacy and effective critical thinking and organizational skills.

• Previous teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
• Bachelor of Education degree.
• Master’s degree or Ph.D.
